Dasmarinas, Cavite (July 9, 2024) Foundation 4Life has teamed up with Gawad Kalinga (GK) To build a 4Life GK Village that will include twenty houses located in Cavite, Philippines—a province southwest of Manila.
GK is a prominent non-profit organization dedicated to alleviating poverty through targeted community assistance and home building. Recently, sixty-five 4Life staffers and affiliates gathered to participate in the beginning stages of this large community project.
Executives in attendance included Foundation 4Life Director Jenna Lisonbee, Chief Global Operations Officer Jeff Kalinin, Chief Scientific Officer David Vollmer, and Eileen Tan-Dario, 4Life Philippines General Manger.
Tan-Dario: “We are truly grateful for the overwhelming support from Foundation 4Life and 4Life affiliates in our great country, the Philippines. The company’s ongoing commitment to service is Founder Bianca Lisonbee’s legacy. Together, Building People. Together, we make a difference in people’s lives.”
Throughout the day, participants were assigned tasks like digging, stacking cider block, and pouring cement. That evening, a festive event was organized for 120 children in the community. They enjoyed games, a meal, and a gift of school supplies.
The 4Life GK Village will take 6 to 8 months to complete.
